Structure of a Voter ID Card

How to Apply for Voter ID Card Online

Follow these steps to apply for a Voter ID online via NVSP:

  1. Visit the official National Voters’ Services Portal (NVSP).

  2. Click the ‘Sign-Up’ button on the homepage.

  3. Enter your mobile number, email, and captcha, then click Continue.

  4. Fill in your First Name, Last Name, set a password, and click Request OTP.

  5. Verify the OTP sent to your mobile and email.

  6. Login using your mobile number and password, then enter the OTP to verify.

  7. Select ‘Fill Form 6’ under New Registration for General Electors.

  8. Complete the form with personal details, Aadhaar number, address, and declaration. Upload supporting documents.

  9. Preview your information and click Submit to complete the registration.


How to Apply for Voter ID Card Offline

  1. Visit your nearest State Election Office and request Form 6.

  2. Fill in the required personal details.

  3. Submit the completed form along with a photo and supporting documents at the Election Office.
